Tina Tanaka Harris x Rovectin: Tina's Picks!

One of our favourite Aussie Beauty Youtubers and one of our favourite Korean skincare brands - it's a dream come true! Tina takes us through all of the top picks from the Rovectin range, from cleanser to sheet mask you can expect a full skincare routine. Tina has chosen this Rovectin as one her favourite skincare brands of all time - and we totally get why.

A skincare brand born out of regenerative care, it's also cruelty free, vegan and made using recycled packaging. Let's get into Tina's picks from Rovectin!

1. Skin Essentials Conditional Cleanser

Recommended for: Dry/Dehydrated skin

The Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser is super gentle yet effective cleanser. You'll find that it will cleanse your skin without feeling dry or tight. Whilst this is a great option for all skin types, it's especially recommended for those that have super sensitive skin. Even great for mature and hypersensitive skin! The formulation has a pH of 5.7, supporting a healthy skin barrier. It also contains other hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin and coconut oil, preventing the felling of your skin feeling stripped. Tina recommends that at night this product be used as a second cleanser, first using an oil based cleanser to dissolve makeup or any SPF products that may have been used throughout the day. If not, just using this alone is perfectly fine!

2. Lotus Water Calming Toner

Recommended for: All skin types

Super hydrating toners aren't hard to find these days, but usually have a thicker, more viscous texture - which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But if you're not a fan of a more tacky finish and like to layer your products, this toner might be the one for you! The Lotus Water Calming Water is super light in texture with a watery consistency, but is just as deeply hydrating. In term of formulation this toner contains 7 layers of hyaluronic acid, and Lotus Flower Water. This ingredient is known to anti-bacterial and soothes acne-prone/irritated skin.

Tina has some excellent tips for application - for those that have oily to combo skin you can apply with a cotton pad, and swipe across the skin. This will give you a more fresh, lightweight finish. For those with normal skin, apply to palms, then press into the skin, making sure to pat it in. For dry/dehydrated skin, you can create your own DIY sheet mask, by soaking a cotton pad in the toner and leaving it on your face for deeper, long-lasting hydration. Tina uses the Unicharm Cotton Puffs, which are another iconic J-beauty item!

3. Lotus Water Calming Sheet Mask

Recommended for: Sensitive/stressed skin

The Lotus Calming Sheet mask is the mask that Tina recommends for when your skin is stressed and suffering, needing deep replenishment. It has a very similar ingredient list to the Lotus Water Calming Toner, with the addition of a few great ingredients. The inclusion of glutathione has a brightening effect and also contains Houttuynia Cordata Extract (also known as Heartleaf) which is another extremely calming and moisturising ingredient. Perfect for when your skin will react to any other skincare products, but is in desperate need for hydration. A go-to mask for those with sensitive skin!

4. Lotus Water Cream

Recommended for: All Skin types

One of the most iconic products of the Lotus Water Line is the Lotus Water Cream - so we were not surprised to see this as one of Tina's picks! Not only is this her pick from Rovectin, but has been named her No.1 moisturiser of all skincare brands that can be recommended to all skin types. This cream is a water-based formula, with 75% Lotus Water Extract, and only 23 natural ingredients, containing only the necessary components for deep hydration. The lotion-like texture is easily absorbed into the skin, and does not clog the pores, for those with oilier, acne prone skin types.

5. Cica Care Balm

Recommended for: Sensitive, red skin

The Cica Care Balm is specifically made for when you are experiencing skin flare ups, or irritation in specific areas. This is a balm type cream, yet with a light texture, and contains Calamine, an ingredient known to soothe irritation caused by breakouts, rosacea and external irritation. This product is definitely for a specific skin type, so if you've got sensitive, easily irritated skin, this one is for you!

6. Skin Essentials Face & Body Cream

This is a cream that can be used on both the face and body, with a richer texture. Tina recommends this product for those with drier skin types especially in the winter, as it is a more nourishing formula. When using on the body and face, it is very dewy upon first application but then dries down to a more soft supple texture. Great value for price, with 175ml of product which will last you a while especially if you're only using it for the face.

Rovectin is definitely one of our favourite brands that we carry, so definitely check out the entire collection!
